How do you determine a player's value and why is it important?

While using our DFS Lineup Optimizer, you'll notice a column in the Player Pool called Value. A player's projected value is determined by this simple formula:

(projected points/salary)*1,000

For example, if a player has a salary of $10,000 and we project them to score 25 points, their value would be: (25/10,000)*1,000 = 2.5x value.

The higher the player's value the better. This information is important because depending on the type of contest you enter, your lineup will have to provide a certain level of value in order to cash.
